FarmOff! Privacy Policy
FarmOff! is a game made by Twelve Doors Interactive ("we"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play.
The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't ask who you are, and we don't run any servers that store information about you. The services the game uses to work, listed below, do receive some technical information, as any app that goes online does.
1. Information that stays on your phone
The game saves your progress on your device only: Golden Seeds, unlocked farmers and crops, your chosen settings (difficulty, season length, farmer), whether you've seen the intro, and how many online matches you've played today. None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes it.
2. Playing online with a friend
When you host or join an online match, the game uses Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) to connect the two phones:
- Anonymous sign-in: Unity creates a random player ID so its servers can tell the two phones apart. A new one is made each time you open the game. It is not linked to your name, email or Google account.
- Relay: the game's moves pass through Unity's servers between the two phones, so Unity sees your phone's IP address while you play. The match itself (farm positions, crops, money) is only passed along, not kept.
- Unity's services may also record basic technical diagnostics, for example errors in its own software.

Online play check. Before an online match starts, the game downloads a small settings file from this website that says whether online play is open. The website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which sees your IP address for that request, as with any web page. Nothing about you is sent. GitHub's privacy statement.
Playing solo, or over local Wi-Fi, uses none of these services.
3. Advertising
The free version of FarmOff! shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (and the approximate location it suggests), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Your choice: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and where other laws require it, Google asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your answer at any time from Privacy → Ad choices on the game's start screen. If you don't consent, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalised.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Remove ads: buying "Remove ads" turns ads off. The purchase is handled by Google Play. We only learn that the purchase exists, never your payment details. Google's privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information. For California residents: because ads may be personalised, Google's use of data can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out from Privacy → Ad choices or by deleting your advertising ID.
4. Children
FarmOff! is meant for players 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used online play or seen personalised ads, contact us and we'll help.
5. Your rights
Because we don't hold any information about you, there is usually nothing for us to show, correct or delete. Data held by Unity, GitHub or Google is covered by their policies, and you can contact them directly. We are also happy to help with any request. If you live in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Legal bases (EEA/UK): relaying online matches is necessary to provide the feature you asked for; personalised advertising is based on your consent; non-personalised ads and basic diagnostics rely on our legitimate interest in running and funding a free game.
6. Security
The game's online traffic is encrypted by Unity's services. Information on your phone is protected by your phone's own security.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be mentioned in the game's update notes.
